The review is correct, it's pretty janky controls esp. for the flying.
Don't let the cute veneer fool you, this game gets very difficult.
The game is a mix of action levels or puzzle levels or both.
The action ones are a matter of timing control and dashing and blocking skills, simple enough.
The puzzles ones are a matter of building blocks, diverting enemies and occasionally using powers to get past obstacles.
Technically the game has 210 levels, but I ignore the first 10 in the count since they are tutorial levels, to teach you the skills you will need to complete the game.
