Horoscopicus

Horoscopicus is a game inspired by 2D platformers from a certain incredibly well known portable console from the 90s!
Play as Horo in this 2D Retro platformer and try your best to collect the 12 zodiac signs (AND PET THE SECRET ANIMALS) so that you may unlock the door to the mysterious 13th zodiac!

• Explore 12 levels + Special versions, all inspired by their own unique zodiac sign!
  
• Choose your own path! The initial 12 levels can be played in any order!
  
• 4 Different upgrade types which change character visuals to match!
  
• Find and PET 12 DIFFERENT SECRET ANIMALS! :D
  
• Several selectable screen borders! (Can you find out how to change them?)
  
• Lots of references to other games and media!
  
• Simple controls! (A Jump button, an Attack button and directional keys for Movement.)
  
• An assist/accessibility mode that can help with those particularly tough sections!
  
• An amazingly unique soundtrack made by TheLuzical!
  
• One difficulty, tailored to be the intended experience!
  
• Speedrun friendly! (Enemies behave under cycles)
  
• Total length of the game should be around 3h~, though it highly depends from player to player! :)

Disclaimer:

This is my first big game and it was completed mostly as a solo project.
While I got some help during development, expect a more "traditional indie" quality to the game! :)
Nonetheless, I hope you manage to enjoy it regardless!
