
SCP - Containment Breach Reborn is an explanation focused horror game with lite survival elements. You assume the role of a class-d personnel trapped by the SCP Foundation. Lacking weaponry, you must employ stealth, problem solving, and quick thinking to make it out alive. The facility houses an array of deadly and uneartly entites known as SCPs. These entities wield powers ranging from reality-bending abilities, to sheer physical destruction, to minor quirks of nature. The ultimate objective is to escape the facility and reach the surface, facing increasingly seemingly insurmountable challenges for any normal human being, and the ever-present threat of SCPs, and those who wish to silence you. This game is a brand new ground-up reimagining of the classic game "SCP - Containment Breach" released in 2012 by Regalis.
Set in 1998, the Foundation is under more strain than ever. Unable to hold up against the constant attacks from a splinter group, the experimental Modular Site Project has been fast-tracked. This site picked for it? 19, a remote research complex primarily dedicated to the study and organisation of SCP data and analityics. The number of specimins being shipped in and the amount of staff displacement are too much, however, and on the morning of the 17th of May, 1998, all hell breaks loose.
SCP - Containment Breach Reborn unfolds within the SCP Foundation facility, currently only featuring a single zone. Your goal is to reach the exit and escape the facility alive, whilst getting past any barriers you may face along the way.
Gameplay mechanics encompass exploration, puzzle-solving, and stealth. Players interact with various objects and structures within the facility, including buttons, gates, and keycards, in order to progress through each zone. Players can also pick up and inspect various items for clues and facility-related information. Inventory management has been refined, featuring a reduced number of slots and a dedicated documents slot or clipboard for efficient organization.
