Offland is an isometric turn-based CRPG inspired by the gritty, choice-driven games of the late 1990s.
Earth is polluted and overcrowded. Hoping for a better future, you take a risky job on another planet - only for the mission to go badly wrong after landing. Stranded in unfamiliar territory, you'll need to talk, fight, and think your way through a hostile world where your choices shape how the story unfolds.
Tactical turn-based combat - Position your character on an isometric grid, manage action points, and choose between firearms, melee weapons, and improvised tactics to survive encounters that reward planning over brute force.
Meaningful choices and branching dialogue - Conversations open up or shut down based on your skills, past decisions, and reputation. Quests can be solved through negotiation, intimidation, stealth, or violence - often with consequences you won't see coming.
Character progression driven by skills - Build your character around the skills and stats that match your playstyle. Speech, combat, and survival abilities all open different paths through the game.
A reactive world - NPCs remember what you've done. Factions shift their stance toward you based on your actions, not just your words.
Built by a solo developer in a custom engine, Offland aims to capture the mood and player agency of classic CRPGs while keeping its scope grounded and focused. The current screenshots show a work-in-progress build. A limited-scope Steam Playtest is planned as a proof of concept.
