Headward Erosion is a story-driven RPG set in a fictional world. Players take on the role of a deceased girl and uncover the truth behind her death.
On humanity’s original homeworld, most of the population was wiped out by war. Before total extinction, a group of survivors and anti-war advocates fled to a young planet, where they established a new base of civilization.
However, the harsh environment made survival extremely difficult. In response, the government and military enforced strict systems to control population and ration resources.
During planetary exploration, a newly discovered mineral—known as “Blue Blood”—was found to possess unusual radioactive properties. Prolonged exposure affects both the human body and mind. Over time, studies revealed that some miners exposed to the substance developed selective degeneration in the right hemisphere of the brain.
In pursuit of creating a perfectly rational, selfless leader, the government established experimental facilities using this mineral. Two gifted individuals were chosen as subjects—yet their fates would ultimately diverge in completely opposite directions...
The game is divided into nine chapters, each told from the perspective of different characters. As players progress, they will piece together fragments of the story, gradually uncovering the hidden truth behind the experiment.
