ZDSimulator - 2EL4 Locomotive

2EL4 — a modern two-section DC electric locomotive for Ukraine.

The 2EL4 electric locomotive is a Ukrainian modification of the 2ES4K "Donchak" freight electric locomotive, adapted to the requirements of Ukrzaliznytsia. These machines are designed to operate on sections with 3 kV DC voltage, which is used on a significant part of the western and eastern electrified lines of Ukraine.

2EL4 is intended for hauling heavy freight trains on mainline routes with complex track profiles, where high tractive effort and a reliable control system are required. Such locomotives were mainly used on the Prydniprovska and Donetska railways.
