The Story and Setting
Mexico, 1950s. You play as Jose, an alcoholic and the best moonshiner in his Region. Jose is a good guy, but he's forced to deal with bandits. He usually sells his own moonshine to them to feed himself and help the people of his village.
The people of Jose's village are simple, poor peasants, and during lean years, they have a particularly hard time. In such times, Jose always helps his fellow villagers, as he's one of the few who can earn a living even in a lean year. This year was just that.
Jose set out to make another deal with the bandits, of whom he already had many. He hoped to earn enough money from the sale of his last batch to help the people of his village, and, of course, to cover his own food and drink for the next few months. But this deal didn't go according to plan...
The bandits found a new supplier of moonshine, and they no longer needed Jose... This time, they decided to take the shipment without paying... A fatal mistake... For the protagonist, it was a matter of honor... He couldn't let the residents of his village down in such a difficult year... No one but him would help them... And he would have nothing to live on...
From the desert, where the failed deal was scheduled, he must reach the city. Find the bandits' main base. Take what is rightfully his, and then return home. But the journey is fraught with many dangers... You must walk this path with him...
