Yuntai is a story-driven horror detective game set in a mysterious city steeped in Chinese folklore. After receiving a sudden invitation from a long-lost friend, Veris travels to Yuntai City for the Qiqiao Festival, but ends up becoming entangled in eerie supernatural events, bloody cases, and the secrets of a sinister cult.
A mysterious city where ancient belief systems are still quietly upheld. Among its most sacred traditions is the worship of Xi Mu (喜母), a clan goddess passed down from the age of tribal settlements. Although most modern residents have long forgotten her, some locals continue to uphold this faith through hidden rituals and regional celebrations, such as the Qiqiao Festival (乞巧大会), which symbolizes sacred craftsmanship and human connection.
In recent years, a sect known as the Troupe Elysium (极乐戏团) has grown increasingly active in Yuntai. They also worship Xi Mu, but interpret her divine will in a far more extreme and twisted way. No longer satisfied with simple devotion, they seek to turn divine power into something tangible and controllable through blood sacrifice. To achieve this, the Troupe offers living believers as ritual sacrifices, using parasitic transformation to remake them into grotesque and horrifying puppets.

Mechanic #1: Notebook
The mysterious notebook serves as the player’s main tool for recording clues, character information, and key event details. As the story progresses, it updates continuously, helping players organize evidence and piece together the truth behind each case.
Mechanic #2: Detective
Players investigate scenes, gather evidence, and connect characters, objects, and events like a real detective. Through careful observation and deduction, they gradually uncover the hidden secrets behind the supernatural cases.
Mechanic #3: Time Loop
At critical moments, players become trapped in a time loop and must relive certain events multiple times. Each loop reveals new clues or perspectives, allowing players to make different choices, change outcomes, and search for a way to break the cycle.
