
Lights Out is a chaotic co-op roguelike for one to four players. Working as a team, it is your job to escape the mineshafts full of monsters and hazards.
The survival of you and your friends depends on the Light Beam, the one tool providing you both safety and progression.
Be careful though: The Light Beam requires a constant supply of coal to keep running. When it goes out, the Void Eyes will hunt you down!
Simple Mechanics, Complex Gameplay
The core gameplay loop is simple: Gather resources from the environment, craft and trade what you need, and overcome the enemies and the environment to progress through the mine.
As the generated mine - and the monsters within - will become more and more complex though, you will have to prioritize between resources, figure out the optimal path through the sections, and potentially make sacrifices for the good of the team.
The one constant in this game is your Light Beam - it is the source of your health and will accompany on your entire journey through the mines. Craft mirrors and splitters to guide the Beam along your desired path, and use to it to fight back against the hazards of this world!
Teamwork Makes It Further?
This game massively relies on the ability of the players to work together - coordinate resource management, share important information and throw items across lava pools. Once your coal supply is running low, the situation will be come chaotic very quick. The everlasting threat of the dark, combined with the pop up of more immediate dangers spawned in the environment will test your ability to remain calm and friendly under pressure.
