EVERY MOVE HAS CONSEQUENCES
AfterMove takes minutes to understand. It may take considerably longer to master — and the further in you go, the more you'll suspect that mastery is a moving target. The premise is elegant and unforgiving: every move you make moves every enemy too. Not randomly. Not on a timer. Directly, deterministically, in direct response to you. There is no safe turn. There is no waiting it out. You are the engine of everything that happens on the board.
KNOW YOUR ENEMY
Each piece obeys a fixed law. Some always march in one direction. Some leap in an L and land where you least expect. Some cut diagonally, closing distance in ways that feel unfair until you understand the geometry. One moves opposite to you — every direction you choose, it chooses the other. One never moves at all, but blocks you absolutely. One rotates your input 90 degrees and turns your intended move against you. They are perfectly predictable. The challenge is that on a 6×6 board with up to 15 of them moving simultaneously in response to your single input, perfectly predictable can still mean impossibly difficult.
An enemy that exits right re-enters left. You hit the board boundary and stop — they do not. Learning to use that against them is the difference between a player who survives and one who thrives.
SIMPLE RULES. REAL DEPTH.
The objective is always clear: reach the goal. No inventory. No resource management. No ambiguity about what you are trying to do. The depth comes entirely from how you get there — and from the fact that every piece on the board moves the moment you do.
Made a mistake? Undo is always one keypress away. Experiment freely, backtrack without penalty, and try again. AfterMove rewards curiosity over caution. The only cost is efficiency — and efficiency is exactly what the par score measures.
TWO MODES. ONE BOARD.
In Casual mode, you move freely — one step, see what happens, learn the patterns. In Expert mode, you commit your full sequence before a single piece moves. Plan 2 to 6 moves ahead. Then execute. All enemies respond at once. No corrections. No take-backs. Every move you committed plays out exactly as you wrote it — whether you were right or wrong.
FAIR BY DESIGN
Every level is solver-verified — guaranteed solvable, never unfair. The pieces behave exactly as they always do. If you can't find the line, the line is there. You just haven't seen it yet.
120 CASUAL LEVELS. 60 EXPERT.
120 Casual levels across Easy, Medium, Hard and Master tiers. The first 40 are a training ground — each new piece type arriving one at a time, first alone, then combined with what came before. No piece is thrown at you without warning. By the time the board gets crowded, you already know every rule on it. From Level 41 the combinations are real, the boards are dense, and the patterns you built become the tools you need.
Expert mode escalates through Expert, Master and Grandmaster — up to 15 enemies, tighter move limits, and combinations you will not see coming.
Par is set by the solver. ★★★ means you matched it. ★★★+ means you found a line the solver missed.
And if you finish both — there's one more thing waiting.
HOW FAR WILL YOU GO?
Level 120 Master will test everything you've learned. Switch to Expert when you're ready to stop reacting and start planning. Grandmaster 60 is the summit — and it is a different conversation entirely.
