Till — Trade — Plant — Harvest
During daylight, till plots to summon local cards & stack shrooms. The more shrooms you pile on a stack, the more fruitful your harvest. Barter any cards in your hand for cards in the trading market to adapt to the native & seasonal environment. Meaningful exchanges with the regional market will correct or unravel the balance of your deck.
Play the cards you're dealt
Sacrifice or plant cards to draw more cards & reap rewards. Keep a balance of harvesting your shrooms & gambling away your cards. Stumble or shrewd your way into bountiful farming strategies & manipulate discovered knowledge to overcome every obstacle. Master a living ecosystem where strategies are endless & obstacles are puzzling.
A world that rewards curiosity
Tucked away in every nook & cranny lay secrets, surprises & stories waiting to be told. If you think something might be possible, trying it will often lead to bouts of intuition & unexpected fortune.
Friends & Fae
Before night falls, use your deck of shrooms to befriend local folk, tame helpful honeybees, or charm powerful deities you encounter. These cards each have unique skills when placed on plots. When bound, they are shuffled into your deck alongside your shroom cards.
One last chance
When the moon rises & you've failed to harvest enough shrooms to survive the night, all hope is not lost. You may sacrifice cards to cultivate luck for one last roll, then your fate is determined by fortune while you rest.
One more adventure
Say your journey happens to end (via crows stealing your food, being mauled by a troll, etc.)— a fresh new adventure awaits. With newfound knowledge from your previous run, expect all new scenarios as the world is vastly unpredictable & no two runs are alike.
