Undercurrent

The year is 2250. Humanity has spread among the stars. You’re a diplomat named Ava Horvat. Your younger brother Andrej is on a science base which has gone dark. It’s been weeks since you’ve heard from him. Now, you’re stranded on the mysterious ocean planet Thalas trying to rescue him. Your intentions were good.

You’re equipped to create holo bridges and tame electrical currents to push forward. This can help you go far. But are you able to navigate the harsh currents of this alien environment?

The science base is in chaos. Everyone is acting bizarre. They are hiding something.

How do you handle this strange crew?

       1. Should you try to connect with them?

       2. Or try make light of the situation?

       3. Perhaps cold logic and efficiency is best to get through this?

       4. Or sticking to the highest principles?

Something is very wrong. Where is this radiation coming from? You’re not yourself. You feel a void growing within you, slowly pushing out your ability to choose. Why do you keep dreaming of butterflies? What is doing all of this?

All you wanted was to find Andrej, but now you’re the only way out of this darkness. You have to make decisions in the name of humanity, to choose between what we were and what we might become.

One thing is certain: You can’t stay who you are.
