Operator, you have one hour.
The VENERA 31 rover has landed on the surface of Venus. Your task: catalogue the terrain for computer vision training before battery depletion terminates the mission.
Operate the rover remotely from mission control. Using a keyboard-only interface — no mouse input required — you navigate the Venusian surface, scan the environment, and classify what the rover's cameras detect.
Tag surface objects into categories: DUST, ROCK, METAL, COMMON
Move the rover by issuing directional commands (forward, back, left, right) and setting movement duration in minutes
Switch between vision modes — NORMAL, INFRA (infrared), B&W, REVERSE — each revealing different aspects of the environment
Initiate scans when the signal degrades or the camera feed is lost
Manage your time — every action consumes minutes from your one-hour mission window
Among the rocks and dust, the rover may detect something that doesn't match any known classification. For undefined creatures, use tag "HARVESTER".
Previous operators have reported similar sightings. No further action required.
