Blightfall is a real time city building game where you control a band of expeditioners trying to salvage the ruins of an ancient kingdom. The city consists of multiple layers that need to be cleared of Blight: a rapidly spreading eldritch plague taking control of plants, people, and machinery. Players are given different approaches on how to deal with Blight: to cure it, to eradicate it, or maybe something else entirely?

Tree Sap is a valuable resource that grants unique and unexpected powers to your soldiers and buildings alike. Extraction of it requires time and care.

Research new tech and improve your units

Invest in research that will improve the efficiency of your operating units. You may find artifacts and blueprints scattered around the world that will help you accelerate the process. As you develop, you will need bigger, more efficient buildings to care for all your needs.

Experience the combat

Mechs, zeppelins, flamethrowers and many more vicious units duke it out day and night for the control of every piece of rock there is. You need to handle military logistics and strategize in real time.

Watch your people’s morale

The population is vulnerable in more than one way. Casualties and relentless assaults will reduce general morale. You have to raise their spirits via giving concessions or making promises. But be careful, unkept promises may result in fully fledged riots.

Step into the unknown

The city’s lower level holds the entrance to a Catacomb system that offers ancient mysteries to uncover. Follow the old explorer Mattheus into the inky darkness and learn what happened to the previous expedition. Make sure your scouts bring along enough supplies to survive the journey.
