Instead of pieces instantly reaching their destination, they move only one step per turn toward the command you give them. This means you can issue an order to your Queen, then on the next turn command a Pawn, and both pieces will continue carrying out their assigned actions at the same time. Your army keeps moving, creating a battlefield where planning ahead, timing, and coordination are everything.
Winning is no longer about a simple checkmate. In RanaRangam, pieces have health, attacks happen through battle, and the King must be defeated to win. Checks are still important, but instead of ending the match immediately, putting the King in check causes it to lose health, adding constant pressure and making positioning far more dangerous.
The strategy goes even deeper with ultimate abilities, allowing pieces to unleash powerful effects that can change the course of a match. Pieces can also support allies by restoring their health when they are in valid positions, making offense, defense, and team coordination equally important.
