Build your deck, and face your rival in fast strategic duels where every card you play becomes part of a live musical performance.
But victory is not about reducing health points.
In Herd, you win by converting the Mélodus — adorable divine creatures who react to music, magic and momentum. Read your opponent, control the stage, trigger powerful synergies, and turn the crowd before your rival does.
Cards are played across five musical categories:
Drums
Chords
Bass
Melody
Voices
Each card can change the music, trigger tactical effects, increase intensity, disrupt the opponent’s Soundboard, or convert Mélodus to your side.
The soundtrack evolves with the match, making each duel feel like a live battle between two performers.
Herd is designed to make card-game depth more readable.
Instead of hiding strategy behind layers of abstract rules, Herd uses music, visual feedback and creature movement to help players understand what is happening on the board.
Every match is about clear tactical decisions:
Build your Soundboard
Set up synergies
Control key musical lanes
Disrupt your rival’s performance
Time your conversion turns
Adapt your deck after each match
Meet the Mélodus
The Mélodus are cute magical creatures born from musical energy.
They are not just a score counter: they are the heart of the game. During each duel, they react to your performance, move across the stage, and decide who wins the battle.
Win them over — or watch your rival steal the show.

Herd is free-to-play and built around fair competition.
Our goal is to create a modern digital card game without pay-to-win mechanics. Monetization focuses on expression, optional unlocks and cosmetics: characters, styles, visual effects, Mélodus skins and stage customization.
Win because you played better — not because you paid more.
Solo content to learn the game and discover the world
1v1 PvP for competitive mastery
Deckbuilding and archetype experimentation
Cosmetic and musical customization
Herd will first be available through Steam Playtest, leading up to Steam Next Fest in June 2026.
After Next Fest, the game is planned to enter Early Access as a free-to-play title.
The full launch is planned for 2027, with new characters, decks, modes, cosmetics and narrative content added throughout development.
