Fifrelin is a small medieval roguelike inspired by some -very not addictive- games like Balatro, CloverPit, and Buckshot Roulette. You're stuck in the loop until you've paid off your debt by robbing passers-by in a retro-looking forest using the last resort you have: gambling your life.
You fooled 'round and found out. You've stolen a magic relic and now you owe a tremendous sum to the evil wizard! However, you are a Fifrelin, you are worthless, and you have nothing. To pay him back each night, you'll have to ambush and take the money of some passers-by in a scary dark forest.
You've stolen a cursed relic? Might as well use it! Feed it with your life points to choose how strong you're gonna strike. However weak as you are, you must hide and jump at them at the last minute... without knowing if you're gonna face a peasant or a troll! Strike too soft and you will lose the fight, but strike too hard and it will backfire; your goal is to bet just the right amount to vanquish your foes.
Fortunatly, you know who's likely to come by each day. Bet wisely (or not!) using the information at your disposal.
In his immense generosity, the wizard will offer you curses to change your odds and upgrade your stats. But be careful, because every gift comes with a cost... After all, he wouldn't mind changing you in a wet sock!
You can also buy some items from the shady shop lady that only come in the dead of the night.
Cheer up Fifrelin! And good luck getting out of this mess!
