Choppy Waves is an online co-op party game for up to 4 players where you run a floating bar on the open ocean. Take orders, mix drinks, serve guests, and try to keep your footing while the yacht rocks across choppy waves.
This demo gives you an early playable look at the core chaos of Choppy Waves. Play solo, join through matchmaking, or invite your friends directly, then try to keep the bar running as guests arrive, place orders, and lose patience if you take too long.
The job: take the order, mix the right drink, deliver it to the right guest, and move on to the next one. The problem is a bottleneck in bar equipment, communication (depends on the team playing) and the ocean waves. As the waves hit, it is getting increasingly harder to navigate the deck.
Early version: This is an early version demo. We appreciate all the feedback and input we can get through common channels like Discord or Steam Community Hub. We love to hear from you.
Guests spawn around the yacht and ask for drinks. Your team needs to reach them, take their orders, prepare the correct drinks, and deliver everything before they get tired of waiting.
Take orders from guests
Mix drinks behind the bar
Deliver orders before guests leave
Coordinate with friends to keep service moving
Choose your ingredients carefully. In the current demo, you can mix 3 proper drinks, but wrong combinations will create junk. A fast team is good. A fast team that actually knows what it is making is better.
The yacht does not stay still. Waves push against the ship, making even a simple delivery harder than it usually would be. You may be carrying the perfect drink one second, then sliding away from the guest the next.
Players affected by waves when navigating the deck
Guests move around as the yacht shifts (currently not yet in demo)
Timing and positioning matter
Every wave makes a clean coordination harder
Play alone if you want, or team up with friends online. The demo supports up to 4 players through matchmaking or direct friend invite.
Solo play supported
Online co-op for up to 4 players

Proximity voice chat is enabled by default in the demo for players invited into a party (friends).
At the current stage of development, proximity voice chat cannot be turned off, but we do expose options to participate in either a party (friends only) voice chat or session (global) voice chat. You can also choose between voice activation and push to talk. Communication is part of the experience, but please keep this in mind before playing.

Wave-based deck movement that pushes players and guests around
This demo focuses on the core service gameplay: taking orders, mixing drinks, delivering them, and trying to keep control on a moving ocean deck.
Progression is not included in the current demo.
For the full game, we are planning quite a lot of content. Among other things also a progression system where players earn money from their bartender work and spend it on bar upgrades and broader gameplay improvements. We are also continuing to expand the game with more systems, more content, and more ways for the ocean to ruin a perfectly good shift.
Serve the guests, mix the drinks, watch your footing, and try not to blame your friends when the whole team slides across the deck at the worst possible moment.
