Nick, an orphan who has learned to survive on the fringes, is being transported under custody to the police station when the journey spirals out of control.
Sheriff Robert, an old acquaintance of his family, begins to act erratically. The conversation grows tense, control of the vehicle slips… and a sudden skid brings them to a halt in front of an isolated motel in the desert: the Amberhusk.
A wreck at its entrance turns what should have been a routine inspection into the prelude to something far darker, and a cry for help pushes Nick to step inside.
Once inside, the place follows no familiar logic. Its spaces are marked by something beyond simple abandonment: signs of a process that has crossed every boundary, altering human biology and warping everything it touches.
As he moves forward, Nick finds no clear answers—only fragments. Remnants of something that happened there… or perhaps something that never truly ended.
Then Sophie appears. A child who, against all logic, is still alive. She has a request: to find her brother. But in a place where everything urges you to run and never look back, helping her means venturing even deeper into the unknown.
At the Amberhusk, horror does not appear in isolation. Everything seems to be part of something larger—a presence that spreads through the environment, reshaping it from within.
And at the center of it all… a recurring figure: the sunflower. A plant that usually seeks the light… but here… seems to have taken root in the darkness.

Explore the Amberhusk Motel with a flashlight as your primary tool. Illuminate hallways, inspect rooms, find key items, discover notes, and use maps to navigate a dark, enclosed environment filled with secrets.
Manage your flashlight’s power using charging stations scattered throughout the motel. Darkness does more than limit exploration: it also affects your ability to spot threats, resources, and important environmental details.
Avoid a creature stalking the motel. Move carefully, hide when necessary, and decide when to run. The handgun exists as a last resort: ammunition is scarce, noise can reveal your position, and pulling the trigger does not guarantee that what is hunting you will stop.
Solve environmental puzzles, unlock new paths, and piece together the motel’s story through documents, objects, and encounters with other characters. Every room may contain a clue, a resource, or a new perspective on what happened at Amberhusk.
