

LET MY FAMILY IN is a bunker gatekeeper simulator set amid an impending nuclear catastrophe. Humanity is collapsing, survivors are gathering at your door, and every one of them wants the same thing: safety for themselves and their family.
You play as the bunker’s Overseer, awakened from cryogenic sleep as part of a last-resort Cold War survival program. Chosen for psychological neutrality, you were meant to make impossible decisions when no one else could. Now that moment has come. Every applicant can be both a risk and an opportunity. To preserve the bunker’s future, you must decide who is allowed inside and who is left outside to face the end. Admit the right people, and you may secure survival for your family and the generations to come. Make too many mistakes, and the bunker may collapse from within.
Survivors do not always tell the truth. Behind every face may be a contagious illness, a violent history, a false identity, or a hidden weakness that could endanger the entire colony.
Assess each candidate through profession, medical condition, criminal background, and psychological profile. Cross-check records, interrogate applicants, expose contradictions, and use investigative mini-games to uncover the truth before making irreversible decisions.
Every character is shaped by temperament and psychological stability, influencing how they answer questions, react under pressure, and behave when cornered, frightened, or exposed. One person may panic. Another may threaten. Another may beg. Survivors react not only to your direct actions, but also to waiting, isolation, fear, stress, and the atmosphere of the room itself. The result is a system built to make every encounter feel tense and personal, and not everyone accepts rejection quietly.
Your challenge goes far beyond short-term survival. The goal is to assemble a bunker population capable of enduring for over two centuries. Each person is part of a larger human ecosystem, bringing strengths, weaknesses, risks, and synergies that shape the colony’s long-term stability. The strategic layer is designed as a blend of profiling, puzzle-solving, and population building, where every decision echoes across generations.

The project is also planned to expand with additional long-term systems, including asynchronous multiplayer competition with leaderboards, seasonal character rotations, and more advanced dynamic NPC responsiveness.
A turret system is already implemented as one of the tools at your disposal to interrogate and psychologically impose your decision on survivors. It can be seen in the prototype for Kickstarter backers. Additional pressure methods, including environmental stress systems, are in development.
