The collectors aren’t patient. The banks aren’t interested. But someone knows a place, underground, off the books, where debts get settled the old way. Thumb to thumb. Bone against bone. Welcome to the pit.
Pollex is a first-person horror game where you descend into an underground thumb war fight pit. The rules are simple: grip, pin, win. But down here, nobody plays clean. The opponents are wrong. The crowd wants blood. And every match is played for keeps.
You don’t bet chips. You bet fingers. Win a match, take your opponent’s. Lose, and you watch yours get cut. The deeper you go, the higher the stakes, and the less you have left to gamble with.
Bet your own fingers on every match
Face increasingly brutal opponents in the pit
Read your opponent, learn their tells, exploit their weaknesses
Pay off your debt or lose everything trying
Every loss marks you. Every win draws attention. The deeper you descend into the pit, the stranger things get. The people running this place have their own rules, their own games, and their own reasons for keeping you in the ring.
Navigate an underground world built on pain and debt
Discover who runs the pit, and what they really want
Survive long enough to clear your debt and walk out whole
Pollex is built in Unreal Engine 5 by a solo developer. Every texture, every model, every sound is hand-crafted, no AI-generated assets. The pit was built to feel real, and you’ll feel every crack and every creak when you’re down there.
I’ve been making games for years, but Pollex is the one that wouldn’t leave me alone. The idea of thumb wars, something everyone’s done as a kid, twisted into something genuinely unsettling stuck in my head until I had to build it.
Wishlist Pollex. Tell your friends. I’ll see you in the pit.
