You are an operative of H.I.V.E. (Hostile Intergalactic Venom Eradication) Unit deployed to contain infestations before they spread across the galaxy.
Enter alone or with up to five other operatives, establish a survivable foothold, and eradicate the Hive at its source.
Deploy alone or with up to five other operatives into a procedurally generated infestation zone consumed by toxic fog.
Visibility varies throughout each operation, and survival depends on maintaining your limited RO2 supply. Let your levels fall too far and hallucinations may distort your senses, vital abilities may be lost, and the creatures hidden in the fog will become the least of your problems.
Construct and expand a network of generators that produce RO2 across the map. Each new source gives your squad another place to refill its tanks, regroup, and push deeper into the infestation.
Your network is more than infrastructure—it is the only thing keeping the squad functional inside the toxic fog. Decide where to expand, protect what you have built, and make sure no operative becomes stranded beyond the network’s reach.
Explore the procedurally generated environment and locate the hive fissures sustaining the infestation.
Destroying them will not be easy. Hordes of hostile creatures will attack as your squad searches the fog and defends its growing RO2 network. Stay together, manage your supply, and keep the generators running long enough to eliminate every fissure.
When the final fissure is destroyed, the main hive collapses—and the Hive Queen retaliates.
The Queen recognizes your RO2-producing structures as the greatest threat to her survival. She will attack every generator on the map, dismantling the network that has kept your squad alive.
If she destroys every source of RO2, the remaining operatives become her next targets.
Defend the network. Concentrate your fire. Eradicate the Queen before she eliminates the entire squad.
A fallen operative can be restored using their DNA signature. Surviving teammates can clone eliminated squad members back into the operation and return them to the fight.
If the entire squad is wiped out, a replacement clone squad will be prepared for the next deployment.
The bodies may change. The mission remains.
