MISTWOODS
Something woke beneath the Ancient Ruins. The forest has been answering ever since.
Mistwoods is a dark fantasy narrative RPG set in Brackenford — a trade village on the edge of a corrupted forest that has started sending things back that should have stayed dead. You are not a chosen one. You are the sort of person a desperate village prays for when the sensible options are already gone.
Build your character. Choose your origin — mercenary, hunter, refugee, pilgrim, or caravan survivor — then your path, and the strange fate mark the road left on you. Every choice shapes your stats, your gold, and the way the world reads you.
Lead three companions. Ura is a dwarven warrior who solves arguments with an axe and privately notices everything. Gilleth is a rogue building a philosophy out of near-misses and one regrettable wedding. Anaise is an archer and healer carrying faith through the evidence against it. They will argue, confide in you around a campfire, and go somewhere unreasonable for each other — if you give them reason to.
Navigate a corrupted world. From Brackenford's last-chance tavern to the Mistwood's branching paths, through the sealed Ashcroft Crypt and the Ancient Ruins, all the way to Groveheart Sanctuary and the heart of the corruption: every area offers meaningful choices, hidden events, and consequences that travel with you.
Fight or negotiate. A turn-based combat system rewards preparation, companion bonds, and knowing when to run. Enemies can flee, surrender, or be reached through mercy. The way you fight shapes which ending finds you.
Watch the corruption grow. A rising corruption bar tracks the cost of every wrong decision, every brutal choice, and every door left open. Let it fill — and the forest stops waiting.
Seven endings. Verdant Dawn or The Corrupted Crown. The Last Mercy or Ash and Roots. And one ending that only appears if you know where to look. The choices that determine which one you reach are spread across the entire journey — not saved for the final room.
Choices tracked. Consequences kept. Fog not guaranteed to lift.
