System Cleaner is a survivorslike action game set inside a broken computer.
You play as a tiny cleaner dropped into a messy digital world full of corrupted files, glitches, errors, and forgotten junk. The job sounds simple: clean the system. The problem is that everything in it wants you gone.
Fight through waves of hostile programs, collect upgrades, place helpful buildings, complete bonus objectives, and turn each run into your own little cleanup machine.
System Cleaner also works perfectly on Steam Deck, running at 60 FPS.
You can play System Cleaner like a bullet heaven: keep moving, stack weapons, dodge through the chaos, and melt the screen yourself.
Or you can lean into the building side. Place shooters, shields, traps, collectors, repair helpers, boosters, teleport pads, and more. Build a setup that fights, earns, protects, and grows while you focus on staying alive.
Some runs feel like pure action. Some feel more like a base builder. Some turn into an incremental mess of helpers doing more and more of the work for you.
Replayability is built around optional heat modifiers, fixed-seed daily and weekly contracts, local records, milestones, map objectives, selectable run events, and unlockable branch evolutions.
Push harder rules for better scores and rewards, chase cleaner-specific records, or take on locked-seed contracts where every run is a fair local challenge.
90+ run upgrades to find, stack, and combine
20 permanent upgrades to grow stronger between runs
16 placeable buildings for damage, defense, repair, collection, traps, and automation
31 weapon upgrades for different ways to clear the screen

Heat modifiers that change enemy pressure, bosses, hazards, rewards, and upgrade choices
Daily and weekly fixed-seed contracts with local best scores

Every folder is a mess. Every error has teeth. Every upgrade gets you closer to turning the system back into something usable.
Or at least something a little less broken.
